The A to Z Challenge!

Alright! I have signed up for the blogging A to Z Challenge!  I'm really excited to be doing this... so excited that I created a video (even though I still have a zit!)

Bwahahaha! The girlies and I had so much fun making this video tonight. Caitlin did some directing and Siobain stayed in the room... pre-teens(!)

So, here's the dealio... This doesn't start 'til April but please leave any topics/ideas for my posts during the challenge in the comments below.  I'll actually have to do a little preplanning instead of just... well, living the crazy life.

There are already 385 bloggers signed up for the challenge and it's my goal to check out all their blogs in the next couple of months.  I'll share the ones I really love OR you could check out the list yourself... some of my peeps should totally do this challenge too.

Okay, on a side note, do I talk like this all the time? With the weird winking and all that crazy face bobbing going on?  Someone needs to let me know.  For now, I'm going to pretend that this video is an isolated incident.... except...

... here are some photos taken during some camera checks at work this morning:

What the ha-shizzle?  Roger was running the camera and he's really good... of coarse, he also made these selects... and he's a little evil.

Maybe today was just NOT my day to be in front of the camera.

Attack of the Zit

Gross, I know.  I'm OLD, why the zit?  Seriously. I've been distracted all day long. It's making me cross eyed.

I was going to make a video announcement about a very cool project I'll be doing in April... but I've put it off until tomorrow... because I can't be on camera with this thing!

Fun news delayed to tomorrow!

From Math to the Bass...

I completely crashed into a nap this morning-ish... 11:30am.  I had forgotten to take my meds last night and didn't want to skip a dose.  But I take them at night for a reason, one of them puts me to zzzzz....

"Siobain, please wake me up at 1:00pm."

Sometime before 1:00pm... but after I've gotten into REM...

"Mommy, mommy, mommy"

"Yes, yes, yes" my response to make the noise go away.

"Mommy, I need help with math. What would be the probability of pulling a black checker after pulling two red checkers, assuming 12 red checkers and 12 black checkers are in the bag?"... I have opened an eye to confirm this is my oldest child torturing me.

"Say that again" I request, trying to pull some brain cells together and slap them awake.

"What is the probability of pulling a black," I interrupted her with "Are we allowed to use a calculator?"

"No. I already know that it is not 11/23 because I got it wrong and," I interrupt her again...

"11/23? Wait, what are we talking about? How could you have gotten 11/23?" I'm sooo confused.

"It's not 11/23, that's the wrong answer so I don't know how I got that." Siobain is completely defeated and realizing that she is much smarter than her mommy...

The most I can think or say at this stage of a nap is "yes" or "no"... the answer not depending on the question but on whatever will let me keep sleeping. That's why this is when the girls ask for sodas or chips... because I'll say yes and have no recollection... So why would anyone attack me with MATH in this state?

Have I mentioned that I loath 7th grade? I don't remember it making my head hurt this much when I was in it.

Sooo... after math torture with Siobain I went and had broadway fun with Caitlin and Eleanor (somehow that divie doesn't seem fair to Siobain.)

Finally time to cash-in Eleanor's birthday present! Junie B. Jones at The Bass, 3 tickets for me and my middle girlies. As always... there was drama and delays... but we finally made it to our seats.

Bass Hall was filled to the rafters with little girls under the age of 10, moms over the age of 25, grandmas over the age of 50, and a sprinkling of really scared looking men :).

Great show. Okay that being said... I watched my girlie as she realized that "this" was not as good as the book.  So funny to see the horror (that I have felt many times) as you see your favorite story being reinterpreted on stage (or in a movie).  Poor thing, she kept leaning over to say "that did not happen" or "she never did that" or "this part isn't right"...

I think Eleanor was able to enjoy the show much more as she is just being introduced to the Junie B. Jones series.

I was able to enjoy the show... except for one teensy-weensy-itty-bitty production complaint... if the main character's mic is giving major feedback AND rustling against clothing AND crackling, consider fixing it. Even if the lights have to go dark for a couple of minutes or if you actually say "please hold for tech"... it'd be worth the wait.

We made a stop at the bookstore... to feed the Junie B. Jones machine and then we also picked up some cake pops to "mini" celebrate Eleanor's birthday again.

If I had to choose which part of the day to experience again... I would totally NOT choose 7th grade math. ;)

History Fair

After months of work it's time for Siobain to turn in her History Fair project.  She and hubby were up late last night finishing the edits. Siobain has worked so hard on this project, keeping schedules, researching, and taking it all very seriously.  I'm so proud of her.

But we were both a mess this morning.  Thank goodness Hubby was there to balance my crazy.  I wanted to "be there" for her during her presentation but was also facing my own people/places anxiety.

Hubby helped Siobain review her information right before her turn.

My beautiful girlie is so nervous. But she has worked so hard and it's almost over.

I'm so proud of my little girl.
I want to grow up and be just like her, except for the anime obsession...

Her project won an award! And may have qualified for Regionals, but I'm confused about that. I'll report back when I know for sure. If she is going to regionals then she has to tweak two little things on her project, including taking out the "out takes" at the end.

And then there is this... hubby being a goofball. "Take a photo with me and Abe!" Obviously this cardboard of Lincoln is not to size. Bwahahahaha... hubby's a goofball!

Dum Dums - Photo 52: ABCs

D is for Dum Dum, Blueberry

There is something about the colored tongue that captures the essence of a happy child. Caitlin seems to have completely forgotten her nightmare from Wednesday night.

This has been a week of laughter for me. It truly is an amazing "medicine," releasing endorphins into our system and relieving stress. Monday started with a delightful co-worker fiasco and the week followed suit. After two weeks made difficult by sickness, stress, and depression this week was wonderful and healing.

Last Sunday I asked God for help... and he did.

Finally asleep... Wide awake

Caitlin had a nightmare tonight... last night?... a few hours ago.  Crying and shaking at 3:00 am.  A sleepy response of cuddling and soothing noises wasn't going to cut it.  She wanted mommy wide awake and watching out for her.

What was your dream about? Can you tell me? I'll help make it better.

"Can I whisper in your ear?" okay, this dream has seriously scared her.

"Someone killed a boxer. I don't know why I would have that thought?"

Wow.  That is scary stuff.  A dog killed? What does that mean?  She's supposed to be laughing and playing in her dreams.

So we turned on a movie to get the thought out of her head, she was afraid to go back to sleep.  Wanted to cuddle but needed to face away from me so no one could sneak up behind her back.

Two hours later she's finally asleep... and I'm wide awake... Can't go back to sleep because the risk of over sleeping is extremely high. I think Caitlin will be sleeping with us for a couple of nights.

I've gotten some work done, which is good, a head start on the day... but my a$$ will probably start dragging mid-afternoon. Caitlin will probably have a rough day too, but I hope not.

Curly Girlie

Quick results post this morning...

Before we had even taken the pillow rollers out Caitlin said "I don't like the curls."... "Can you wait and see what they look like before deciding you don't like them?"

Some pillow roller notes: the girlies slept fine with the rollers in their hair and weren't bothered at all; the rollers stayed put through the night, and my girlies are sleep wigglers; there were no knots created by the rollers.  In conclusion... these are a really good roller option.

And my girlies hated the results.

This is the "let me at least take a picture" picture.
It was too much to force a smile out of Caitlin.

A view from the back.
Okay, this is after I tried to take out some of the curl for Caitlin so the curls were much more natural and not all scrunch at the bottom.

... and here is the braid that we did because Caitlin REALLY doesn't want curls.

I told them it was raining and the curls would come out anyway... but the vote is still a big fat NOT.  It is good to know how to get curlies in the girlies for special occasions though.

I think Siobain is going to be won over when she gets compliments all day long.

Off to work and school.  Have a great day!

Little Hair on the Prairie

Okay. I am giving the power to my girlies.  It is in their hands whether or not they get to keep their long locks.  Because these locks ain't getting any love from me.

This morning I didn't even bothering to ask Caitlin to brush her hair, I just braided it and said "let's go. " Then I handed Medusa a hair band and said "pull it back."

If the girlies aren't going to groom their hair then we'll make life easier for all of us... and cut it off.  BUT it is in their hands. (This brills approach came from Vera... queen of all therapists everywhere!)

Tonight I stopped and bought new shampoo, new hair bands, bobby pins, barrettes and... rollers. I brought gifts and laid down the law.

We brushed and dried and rolled...

I had to take a photo! The girlies have pillow rollers in their hair, soft so that you can sleep in them... they really reminded me of Laura and Mary ready for bed in the loft with their hair tied up.

Siobain is still doing homework... I'm not lovin' 7th grade homework...

Touch Me

Today... today... today... sigh.  Let me tell you a tale from yesterday instead.

Here is a true story... (name changed to protect the innocent.)

I was showing a friend, let's call her Ditsy, my MacBook and how it works.  Ditsy only has experience with PC computers but is aware of products like iPods, iPhones, iPads... yada yada.

I start with the basics. Here is the "dock" and here is the "finder"... instead of going to the "start" button come here... "close/minimize/maximize" are on the other side of the window... two fingers on the track pad will scroll...

So then it was Ditsy's turn to do some navigation.  "Okay," I say "why don't you select the 'links' folder on the desktop."

And she does this...

Sigh.  "Okay, it's not a touchscreen... so you have to click on it with the pointer." We both got a huge giggle... touch screen is the way she has interacted with all other Apple devices.

"Then why is your screen so dirty?"... she does have a point.

I would like to mention that "Ditzy" can do crazy amazing things with Excel and is very computer savvy. I just don't have a touch screen...

Chord - Photo 52: ABCs

Hubby gave us our first guitar lesson today. 10:30 sharp, all at attention in the living room.  I have to say, he was great! He set rules and treated it like a real class.

C is for Chord

Our first lesson was a little bit "talkie" while he showed us all the parts of the guitar... headstock, tuners, nut, neck, fret board, fret, strings, body, pick guard, saddle, bridge, and.... soundhole... what a give-up name. Soundhole.  At first I just thought he was being funny... I'm going to come up with a better name than "soundhole" for my guitar.

Then we learned the numbering system for our fingers, the frets, and the strings.  And he'd say "1st finger, 5th fret, 2nd string..." but that came later after he showed us how to hold the guitar, press on the strings, and pluck!

Our homework this week is to practice tuning the strings to each other (using the 5th fret); practice plucking each string (several different ways); playing the E minor chord; and..... hammer on and pull off (which I think he added at the end to keep the girlies engaged).

I've already practiced several times today.

Sooo, Caitlin and I were model students... Honey... needs a little work on her a-t-t-i-t-u-d-e.  (No crying about the pain!)

Serious invite... if any of my local peeps (or their offspring) want to join our free (Saturday, 10:30 sharp, living room) lessons.... give me a call.

Sneezy

Gorgeous is my mother.  She is amazing and wonderful. So many attributes, qualities, and genetics to envy and wish for...
smart
funny
great legs
generous
wise
tall
tenacious
strong
sophisticated
independent
confident
beautiful skin
ethical
the list goes on and on and on...

The one thing I could do without is... the sneeze-pee.
Why did I get THAT from her?

I'm goofy again with the Cedar. But I made it through the week!
I go through the tissue boxes too fast and have to go to back-up toilet paper rolls.
This one has been dedicated to Cedar.

I don't think my sisters have inherited the sneeze-pee... yet... but I KNOW some of my cousins on mom's side of the family have.

As an interesting side note... according to wikipedia, Sneezy (of the 7 dwarfs) suffered from hay fever.

Wonder Woman

I am not pretty when I cry... like, really not pretty.  No dainty tears for me.  Red face, snotty nose, awful noises... that's the way I cry.

I mention this in passing... because that's how I spent a bit of my morning.  But enough about me this morning... let's talk about me at lunch.

After my Vera appointment (a woman sent from God) I met up with some nifty folks, Karen, Amy and Lisa, at Corner Bakery.... yum!

My favorite thing at Corner Bakery is their Greek salad. Soooo yummy. I was so confused when ordering today because I couldn't find it on the menu.  Caesar salad? I asked myself, is that what I like... noooo, that doesn't seem right.  Greek salad... but where is it on the menu?

We-ell... the cute little danish at the register did NOT find me amusing at all.

Me: Don't you have a Greek salad?
Danish: We used to, now we just have it on certain days.
Me: Oooh, I'll have the Greek salad.
Danish: We don't have it today.
Me: You don't have it today?
Danish: No, we have it sometimes but not today.
Me (in my head) hmph, that's the only reason to come to corner bakery...
Me: Do you have any cold pastas?
Danish: Yes, we have this cold pasta (points to "Pasta Caprese Salad" in the "side" salad category)
Me: Do you have that as a main dish?
Danish: These are our main dish pastas (points to the "pasta" section... which does not include said pasta)
Me: Does the cold pasta come in a meal size?
Danish: It is a side dish, these are the pasta dishes (points to the dishes I am NOT interested in.)
Me: Can I get the (pointing) pasta in a main dish size?
Danish: You can get it in a side dish, which is a scoop and a half, or 3 scoops, or 5 scoops.
Me: How many scoops is in a "main dish" pasta?
Danish (shrug) You can get a side, a pint, or a quart.
Me: How many scoops is a quart.
Danish (shrug, I am going to kill this woman)
Me (I am going to kill this cute little danish)
Me: I'll take FIVE scoops of the Pasta Caprese Salad... and a drink.
Danish: okay
Me: Can you put this in a bowl? (because I don't trust you to NOT put it in a take-out container)
Danish: You want it in a bowl?
Me: Yes, I'd like it in a bowl.
Danish: Okay, we'll put it in a bowl.

Me and my 5 "scoops" of pasta... Photo by Amy.
What I really wanted was comfort food...
my mom's bow-tie, pine-nut, and sun-dried-tomato pasta...

Meanwhile... I made it through the day.

Many thanks to (in no particular order):

Mom
Hubby
Karen
Amy
Kristi
Kelli
 Vera

**PRIZE**

I recently acquired several Wonder Woman under-roos for some wonder women in my life... these women know how to fix a car about to over-heat... wowza...

I "acquired" one for myself also.

Anyway, this made me happy. So my new thing... occasionally I will offer a prize to my blog readers.  Today's prize offering... $10 gift certificate to Corner Bakery
(where on some days you can order a really great Greek salad)

Just post a comment below to enter the drawing. I will randomly (with a web widget) select a winner and post it on the "prize" page of my little blog. (Must enter Wonder Woman drawing by Wednesday, January 25th, 12:00pm, CST.)

Awkward... is if my hubby, who I say "go read my blog" to, is the only person to enter.

Wambulance

"You need me to call you a wambulance? You seem to have a bad case of the whines"
                                                                                           - Keith B.

Perhaps I was whining a little...

I might have mentioned that I dropped a glass jar on my second toe...
and I might have speculated that I am probably going to lose that nail.
(The photo does not do it justice.)

And I might have mentioned that I had a migraine, and itchy eyes, and allergies.

And I might have mentioned that I was going to have the allergy test this afternoon.
67 needle pricks... allergic to most of the 20 items tested.
The welts had already gone down by the time I took this picture.

So yeah, he had a point about the whining...

The Guitar Girlies

Hubby got us all guitars today!  The girlies picked out their own and hubby brought one home for me (big sale)...

So we are going to learn to rock and roll! Watch out world, here we come!

I love mine.  So beautiful! I was surprised Caitlin came home with a classic look... I thought for sure she would go for bright green :) Her's is the only one that is smaller in size.

We know the C chord  already :) Hubby will give us lessons on Saturday mornings and then we all have to practice every day.

Caitlin has learned the beginning of These Boots Are Walking... I'll get it on video to share as soon as possible.  Hmmm... I'll have to arrange for a blog concert video after a few months practice.

So.... truth time... Karen started me on the show Sons of Anarchy... I might be addicted.  I'm just saying. I'm about to be a bad-ass-guitar-chick who watches shows like Sons of Anarchy.

Sigh, who am I kidding.  The most bad-ass I'll get is a lick-on temporary tattoo...

Sisters

Cuddles and giggles and secrets all day.
What did I do so RIGHT to deserve these angels*?

*2 hr update... Sigh. I just popped onto the blog... and realized that I was previously wondering what I had done so right to deserve these ANGLES... just so everyone knows, it's my angels ANGELS! Sigh. This has now become an awkward post.

Fly Me to the Moon...

Siobain is addicted to this new game.  I've tried it out... not addicting. I am jealous of her iPod touch though.  I'd like to get an iPhone... I think?  Do I have the ability to NOT become one of "those people" who are constantly on their device?  Right now I can make phone calls and text on my phone... no games, no internet, no data plan... just a phone.

I do have an older version of iPod touch that can play movies, music, audio books... but it doesn't take photos, I don't use the web functionality and I only play solitaire when I'm stuck alone somewhere... I did put some games on it for the girlies but nothing I'd be interested in.

I use it every day for sure, audio books are great for the two hour round-trip to work. The one thing I wish it had was the camera... not because it's a good camera, but because it is easier to carry around than my Cannon...

I can just click... play... post...

... and have candid pictures of my girlies.  Here we are, lying side-by-side, belly-down across my bed and I am trying out this "not-addicting" game while she youtubes on my computer... (is youtube a verb? it should be.)  Anyway.  She is beautiful.  The sunlight is coming in from my bedroom window. She is happy. I take a quick picture.  I use the one "game" that I am quickly becoming addicted to... the photo filters.  It's fun! Make this beach lighting, a polaroid frame, add a little note.

These are not photographic skills... it's photographic games.  And that's what I want added to my arsenal.  I still want to use and develop "real" photography skills... but I want these quick and dirty tools too.

So... to iPhone or not to iPhone... Aren't I so lucky that this is the level of quandary in my life.  We are blessed.

IHOP

Late dinner with the girlies. Kids eat free and the rest of us share, $9.00 "dinner"...

The two cutest girlies in the pancake house tonight! Hollar!!

Ummmm... Siobain kicked-my-a$$ in tic-tac-toe.  I thought this was a no-win game.  Apparently you have to pay attention... But I finally got her using her own strategy... "Hey, look over there!"

Siobain had some pancakes with her syrup... This was a full container when we arrived.

When we got home Caitlin had to discuss something serious with me. "You know how when I don't fit into something anymore you give it to Eleanor?"... "Well, I don't want you to give this Minnie Mouse shirt to her because I need to save it for my kids to wear, OK?"

So adorable. Okay.  Kitty (cause that's going to be my "grandma" name) will keep this shirt safe for her grandgirlies. :)

Suck It UP!

The "sick" has gotten to my spirit a little.  What sick? You've got a freaking infected sinus infection! SUCK IT UP!

I'm a little depressed about a work situation.  Work? You've got a great JOB that you love and that pays all your bills and leaves you a little something extra! SUCK IT UP!

I didn't get to see Vera this week. Therapy? You get to go to therapy every WEEK, one of the perks of having insurance! SUCK IT UP!

Hubby is gone for the weekend. Gone? You get a hubby break? Boo-hoo! SUCK IT UP!

I have to pick the girls up from school. School! They are getting a great education, for FREE! SUCK IT UP!

Okay, I'm gonna give myself a little bit of a break on the school-pick-up thing because it is scary. Plus I thought that "publicly" yelling at myself would help me get out of the funk... but now I'm just embarrassed, as I should be.

Mommy Dearest

Preface

I've been home sick since Sunday... after a very exciting (outdoor) trip to the Nasher this past Saturday... where the (evil) cedar pollen filled the air... allergies, topical tissue infection (because of misused nasal spray, how stupid can I be), sinus infection, and... and then... and then I'm reminded I'm a female of childbearing age... and all the sh*t that comes with that reminder.

Yesterday Caitlin came home and said "I don't have lice! The nurse checked us." Yeah (OMG) it's lice season. Ummm, we suffered through having lice once... and now everyone suffers to guarantee we don't get lice ever. again.

Safety Mommy

The fist step in keeping lice out of the house is clean hair, easy, we wash our hair every day.  The second step is a reminder of precautions to take at school: no sharing hats, scarves, headbands, rubber bands, ribbons, barrettes, or jackets; no touching heads, maintain a 6 inch distance from all other children; no playing with hair, not yours and not theirs...

"No biting friends hair?" asks Caitlin
"Have you BEEN biting friends hair?" siobain and I asked simultaneously.
"Nooooooo..." says Caitlin.  Mental head bang.

The third step is french braids... no flowing hair getting into trouble.

Mommy Dearest

All set to leave for school/work... and on time.  Dragging a$$ a little bit because I still don't feel good but ready to face the world, plus big meeting this morning.

Oh wait, goody, time for a quick photo of the braids and I can do a "lice fever" post. 2 birds, one stone... bullet.

Really? This photo turned me into a raging maniac.  How hard is it to squat so that they are the same height? They are facing AWAY from the camera and I still get so much attitude? They don't even have to smile! Where are my wire hangers!

Seriously two minutes of bat-sh!t-crazy-mommy-dearest because "no one can make a moment of my life easy" and "why so much attitude? do I not do enough for you" and "don't look afraid of me" and then finally...

"Oh my God, I am so sorry."

I think I returned to normal for several hours at work.  I left as early as possible to crawl back into bed.

On the way home I switched to wife-dearest on the phone "no one can make a moment of my life easy" and "why so much attitude? do I not do enough for you"...

I came in and slept for 5 hours... when hubby gets home I'll get to the "Oh my God, I am so sorry."

So, my cute little "lice fever" post turned into a "mommy  dearest" post... she* doesn't come out often but when she does there are usually a lot of apologies to make.

*I try to believe that "mommy dearest" is not really me... and just a horrible, very occasional, visitor. Yes, I'll be talking to Vera about her.

Cedar

This is my nose on Cedar.
Doesn't look so bad from the outside...
... but there is misery on the inside.

Trying to understand more about this devil called Cedar I found this picture and web article...It resonates with me.

BTW... I love the title of this article.

Guppy School

Both my girlie guppies received straight A's!

They are my superstars.

Okay, that's all I've got today.  I'm counting all my blessings, including the fact that I have a great job with benefits that get me in to see Dr. R tomorrow morning.  AND hubby went and bought me a new heating pad this afternoon to help with my head/face/jaw/sinus pain.

The Jokester

Very powerful allergy today. I think it's Cedar/Juniper keeping me hostage... but the forecast looks really good for tomorrow with the rain :) Yay!

I took all my prescribed meds, "stolen" meds, and OTC meds that I could.  But I was still too uncomfortable to function.  Tomorrow I'll call the dr. about getting shots.  One of my co-workers is doing that and it might help.

The family stuck close by my side today... I kept waking up to find someone practically sitting on me.  Apparently there were games played, movies watched, and jokes told in my bed all day long.  And football too, watched not played (thank goodness.)

I was stuck in the bathroom for a bit of the day.  My sneezes were more powerful than my bladder... I know some of you ladies know what I'm talking about.  So, I'm sitting on my still-new-to-me-toilet and I notice the jokester is at it again...

I have not been able to pin this on her yet, but I am pretty sure this "jokester" is little miss Caitlin.  These are Roommates Wall Decals, wall clings that are way to easy for the jokester to reposition.  This poor crocodile keeps getting a snake-on-a-stick shoved up his a$$.

If this "jokester" is my hubby, which he vehemently denies, then he is being put on warning.  I would put a camera in there to catch this person if that didn't seem so.... wrong.

Instead, I reposition it and threaten everyone to stop.

But they aren't scared of me.  At least the "jokester" isn't.  I'm a little concerned that Caitlin received the Harry Potter cling set for Christmas. We are going to re-decorate her room and I thought REMOVABLE Hogwarts decor was the way to go :) see, I try to be fun. Anyway, my concern are the WANDS that surely came in the wall cling kit... I hope they are permanently attached to hands...

Buddies - Photo 52: ABCs

It only took four years...

"Buddies"

This week is "B" in the Photo 52: ABCs FB challenge... I am posting this image but I think I'll work on another one for "B" this week.  I just captured this moment because... well, WOW! These two are really starting to put up with each other. I had to crop this one so that you can't see the crapola on my bed side dresser... there was nothing I could do to hide the untidy bed.

I also couldn't get up to try for a better angle because even a slight exhale would have alerted Kitty that the warm tush she was cuddled with was Spartacus.

"Oops, I did it again!" But this curly corner frame on pixlr-o-matic matched the curves of my cuddle buddies so well!

Be the Art

Such an exciting day!  All my girlies met at the Nasher today.

1 Gorgeous + 3 Medinas + 3 Sebastians + 3 Dozier = FUN!
(Unfortunately we didn't have hubby Medina or hubby Sebastian with us.)

Tony Cragg: Seeing Things
Nasher Sculpture Center

Okay, so I took a cabillion photos (357 to be exact) so I'm going to post a few more than usual.  My sisters vetoed posed pictures.  Sigh.  I do love to say "smile damn it." But I didn't really follow that dictate to the letter, I wanted the girlies "in" some of these sculptures...

Distant Cousin, Tony Cragg

I love this view of the sculpture that captures 3 versions of us.

Bronze Crowd, Magdalena Abakanowicz
Siobain joined the ranks of the Bronze Crowd... I made her do it.
LOL once I zipped her up she was stuck and couldn't see... bwahahahahaha!

Super Stars, Cousins
I love that these two are always willing to strike a pose!

Stainless Steel Pillar, Tony Cragg
I love that the tower looks kinda inverted in the reflection... Also love the yoga!
I'm getting back on the yoga wagon.

Outspan, Tony Cragg
 Fun! Girlies in the center!

I didn't get the name of the artist doing the demonstrations. (my bad)
Eleanor was willing to participate in the art process, love it.
My girlies were to "shy" but I think we'll try this string/ink process at home.

Congregation, Tony Cragg

Dice, Tony Cragg
I asked the girlies if they would count the dice for me... no takers.

My mom is beautiful.  She IS Gorgeous!

I love this shot of Jason, the only hubby in attendance.

Because of the "no posing" moratorium this was the only group shot I could get.
(as they were walking away and couldn't yell at me... bwahahahahaha)

Kazoo Gang of Girlies!

I love that Target sponsors the "1st Saturday" at the Nasher.  Not only is it free but they also provide crafts, story time, a performance, a scavenger hunt and a prize.  If you live in the DFW area and haven't taken advantage of it, you should! It's great fun... and not just for the kids!

Okay, yes... I did use the pixlr-o-matic again. It's just too much fun.  I'm bummed that there are weird lines appearing on the bottom and sides.  Those ain't supposed to be there.  But I'm not re-doing these... well, maybe tomorrow.

Such a great day with the gang... even counting my CRAZY allergy attack. (I stole mom's flonase, don't tell!)
