Breathing

I'm on bed rest until after my x-ray tomorrow.  Bed rest when you are sick is not as fun as "bed rest" when it is cold and rainy and you get to watch a movie or read a book and drink hot chocolate.

It's not the same when all you want/can do is sleep. The good news is I'm feeling better every time I wake up.

They added another med today...

What the ha-shizzle!
I don't know if I would always find this contraption complicated or if it's because of the other 15 meds that I'm on... but I had to read the directions 3 times before I was ready to attempt a dose.  In the second column of instructions (ha-shizzle) they mentioned a rattling, if you don't hear the rattling, shake to hear a rattle.  What the ha-shizzle is going to rattle?

Success, I heard the rattle.  The PILL rattles.  In the 1 ft x 2 ft of fine print instructions they should have added the word "pill" to that section.  Just saying.

My other breathing treatment is in the nebulizer...
which I'm used to because of the girlies.

I feel like a fish.
Or a scuba diver would probably be more appropriate.
But I'm 0n meds... and that's my excuse for goofy-ness today.

Back to bed.

Jr. Vader - Photo 52: ABCs

Family drive to Marble Slab! I turned around and found my littlest girlie in a Darth Vader mask.  It talks. She's adorable!

Jr. Vader loves weeds!

Jr. Vader always buckles up. Safety first!

Ice Cream - Post 52: ABCs

Want to go for ice cream? (cause Mommy is late doing her "I" post...)

Everyone is always up for frozen cream in a cone! Road trip to Marble Slab!  We all pile into the car, even jr. vader, for some cold treats on this beautiful afternoon.

My girls are totally scoring because I need a photo op!

So many options to choose from...

Hubby - chocolate with m&m mix in a plain waffle cone.
Me - coconut cream with cherries in a dark chocolate dipped waffle cone.
Siobain - vanilla with oreos in a oreo dipped waffle cone.
Caitlin - chocolate with gummy bears in a dark chocolate dipped waffle cone.

1. Hubby was right and this cone was WAY to big for Caitlin to finish.
2. Mommy was right and frozen gummy bears aren't yummy bears.

Siobain is so pretty... even when she has ice cream all over her face.
She totally reminds me of my Dad, it's sweet... in a gross way.

***

We had to head back home immediately because a big dairy treat was not mixing well with my -itis' or my meds or something...

After my nap I watched an episode of How I Met Your Mother on Netflix.  Which led to hubby to say "any show with a laugh track is not funny." And then he sent Siobain into the room to say "mom, dad says any show with a laugh track is not funny." And then he sent Caitlin into the room to say "mom, did you know that if a show has a laugh track it's not funny?"

He's a funny guy.  And I caught his rant on video...

Words With Friends

I'm currently playing my first two games of Words With Friends.  My sister Sarah is making a monkey out of me.  I'm keeping pace with Gabe.

Sarah sent a text "are you even trying?"

"Yes, I'm playing with my friend Gabe and just played 'barf', I no longer think I am even of average intelligence :("

This solicited a call from Sarah.  She went through a list of tips and I was doing all of them.  But apparently my strategy was all wrong.  With the three letters I had just played she could have tripled my points elsewhere on the board.  It's all about board placement. You should never lay anything on the board that scores less than teen points.

Since taking this as my number one priority I have indeed tripled my score per play.

Also, apparently regular Scrabble rules don't apply.  There is no "fake word flag" by the opponent because the game prohibits you from playing a word that doesn't exist.  So the other player doesn't know if you try a word spelling to see if it will work. There are a lot of weird spellings out there (which has always been my excuse for being a bad speller!)

Now I know why people have been "blah blah this game is so fun blah blah blah" forever. The smart phone is changing my life a little.

I was home sick today.  "Lucky lady time" plus coughing has been added to my ailments.  I doubt they can add anything to my current med arsenal.  I'm now having to take two handfuls of pills instead of my regular one handful.

Over medicated anyone?  Just for the next 6 days.

The girlies and hubby saw The Lorax today.  They said they liked it, but there was no gushing "mommy you HAVE to see it".... so it must not have been that good.

Hubby and I watched Martha Marcy May Marlene tonight.  I've been wanting to see it for a while.  I've always been fascinated with brainwashing and cult behavior.  The selection process and the power some people can hold over others.

I thought it was a well done movie.  Subtle acting and interesting editing.  I recommend.

I like to laugh...

I really like to laugh.  I like to laugh until I snort, squeal, toot, and pee.  It's all happened.

I've wet my pants in a tire swing (because of my cousin Colleen), in a Wendy's (again because of my cousin Colleen), in a grocery store (because of my friend Rebbecca), and now I almost wet my pants, here at home, because of this video on break.com (posted on FaceBook by my friend Eric.)

I have watched this video several times tonight.  Made hubby watch it. He had the girlies watch it. There is something wrong with us!

Here is a video of me watching the video... really, that's all it is.  Just me watching the video. So you could skip to the actual video link if you wanted to.  But it's my blog so I needed to incorporate a little of me.

I love the last line when the guy says "ugh, what kind of wood is this?"

Okay, I can't figure out how to embed the video, so take the jump to break.com, totally worth it!

Thank you Eric! TGIF!

Move over dummy!

TGIF!  I went to bed last night knowing today was going to be a humdinger, but it's FRIDAY!  Four shoots scheduled for today: 8:00 am - my project; 9:30 am - Roger's project; 11:00 am - Tom's project; 3:00 pm - my project.  The only one I wasn't scheduled for was Roger's portrait... but that's still four set-ups in the studio in one day, wowza!

I wanted to make sure to get to work in plenty of time so I left the house at 6:30.  Traffic is great this early in the morning! So great that I arrived earlier than scheduled.  I decided to put my thoughts "in order" while waiting in the hallway for Michael to arrive and unlock the studio door (my keys were in the other building.)

Hmmm... that looks like a cushy chair down the hall... move over dummy!

Who's the dummy? The mannequin or the chick who takes her picture with a mannequin?

Great day of shooting.  Lot's of fun.  I was a little hyper, even for me. I think maybe it's from the steroid?

Chillaxing

Feeling much better today... But decided to take me cue from Kitty...

relaxed, cuddled, letting it all hang out
