I remember Caitlin's first birthday... She received all these amazing toys but the only thing she was interested in were the boxes.
It makes me happy that she can still enjoy a box... Sometimes you don't need to "think outside the box" to be creative.
I've been unpacking in the wake of a recent move to Santander, northern Spain, and my six-year-old son has been getting very creative with a huge mountain of boxes. trains, spaceships, skyscrapers. Eventually we're going to open them up and make a tunnel so we can crawl from the living room to his room.
