Today was "get back on the treadmill" day. Nissa and Beth are FANTASTIC workout buddies. Totally motivating and inspiring.
The workout room at the office was hopping this evening, everyone embracing their New Year resolutions. I grabbed the bike, Beth was on the treadmill, and Nissa was on the elliptical.
The bike was hard! I did 9.5 miles in 30 minutes. I don't remember it being so hard before Christmas... Nissa confessed after the workout that she increased my bike settings by two difficulty levels while I was blind without my glasses. But I did it!
They have one wall completely covered with mirror... And unfortunately the bike faces it. Hi-larious! My legs push up my belly and my belly pushes up my boobs... One at a time... Left, right, left, right... For thirty minutes... It's mesmerizing!
Beth purchased some really cute workout clothes. I purchased a new shirt...

"... and scene"
INT - Studio - Day
Michael, Christy, and Kathleen sit around a production table covered with monitors and trash from lunch.
Kathleen gets up from her chair and walks towards the door.
Christy picks something out of Kathleen's chair and holds it towards Michael.
Muted conversation and a laugh. Kathleen turns around to look back at her co-workers.
Christy reveals the light bulb she is holding.

KATHLEEN
Are you talking about me?
Christy reveals the light bulb she is holding.
CHRISTY
(laughing)
You were sitting on a light bulb?!
"... and scene."
Riddle me this Batman, if a princess can feel a pea... what does that make me?
For shizzle, no matter what, I have some mad ass skills to sit on that bulb without breaking it. Crazy!

Pretzel
I have been craving a soft pretzel for 4 days! I thought I would get lucky at Legoland yesterday... but no, I waded through a jungle of kids with no pretzel at the end of the tunnel.
So disappointed.
Today I woke up and I said to myself "By golly Kathleen, we are gonna find a soft pretzel. A good one. A TARGET soft pretzel!" And that goal is pretty much what I scheduled my day around.

It was a GOOOOOD pretzel too!
Karen and Stacy joined me on this quest. Stacy was being good... but Karen came to the dark side and even ordered cheese on hers.
There was a crazy lady in the parking lot (not me). She looked normal, but clearly was not. They will give a drivers license to anyone these days. (If they gave one to me...)
Also... I'm a dumb ass...

Gamma Rays
This morning I was working with three men in the studio. Normally they demonstrate, to varying degrees :), a calm and professional demeanor... but today we worked with "prototype" equipment.
Apparently "prototype" equipment triggers an excess of testosterone. Three men. Multiple pieces to assemble. Talking at the same time. With opposite theories and solutions.
I decided to stand back and bang my head against the wall. The testosterone was turning into gamma-rays... and I'm pretty sure when I wake up tomorrow I will have developed a superpower while in REM.
While I was watching this circus act I wondered what power I would most like to develop. It seems I am selfish. Instead of something that would make me a superHERO and a national treasure... I think I would like to have teleportaion... including anything I'm physically touching. No hour commute twice a day. Lunch with my girlies. Vacation spots! Think of the time and money I would be saving!
Of coarse, I'll have to keep this a secret when I wake up in the morning...
"Kathleen, can you drop my family at Disney? Pick us up at 10pm (EST)?"
"Kathleen, can you pick me up on the way to work?"
See, selfish...

= Good Times
Karen + Tom Thumb = Good Times!
Karen asked if I wanted to run to Tom Thumb with her at lunch, ha-shizzle! I do not pass-up an opportunity to experience TT with KG... cause there is gonna be some shizzle happening.
Stacy came along too. I was a little hyper on the drive over. "Little" might be an understatement. I am stressed to the max (although God keeps giving me new "max" to reach) anywho, I wasn't fit company for anyone who doesn't find my bizarreness amusing.
Fortunately for me, these two cuties seem to find me amusing...
although Karen did ask if I had taken my meds today. (Yes)
Note that Karen's car has been strategically placed in the back of the lot with no other cars around her.
This is mainly because of the time that a freak-of-nature-hyped-up-on-steroids man waited in his car to blame Karen on a "door ding." When one of us (can't remember who) tried the lick-the-thumb-and-wipe-the-mark-away test he FREAKED OUT! It was actually very amusing. He called the police but since we hadn't fled the scene of the "crime" they said "no" police weren't necessary. We kinda wish they would have come. Cause most police officers love the company we work for and for-shizzle they would have given this psycho a lecture
She's also had a dead battery and a flat tire in this parking lot. I think she was verbally assaulted by an old Chinese woman too...
So you can see why this trip had high expectations.
Unfortunately... except for a watermelon almost falling the trip was uneventful. I did buy some tastykakes though. Buy one get one free. The Stephanie Plum in me can't pass them by.
After Tom Thumb we drove through Wendy's. The drive through wraps around the building twice. So you have to get in the outside lane and work your way around and around to the window. But there was a line-cutter. I begged Stacy to go tell them that they were cutting-in-line but she wouldn't. I asked Karen to honk obnoxiously, but she wouldn't.
It is a little amusing how many drinks three women ordered... 6, but you can only see five. We had to bust a u-y on the way back to the office, there might have been some excitement there but Stacy is too coordinated. Sigh.
These are some gooooooood Tastykakes. Chocolate cake on the inside, then marshmallow, then an outer chocolate shell.
Plus, it made a smiley face.
:)

Third Ear
I missed two days posting this week! Just emotionally spent. But some good times to share too...
Monday morning...
Walking into work I pass Lee, "Does that mean you have a third ear?"
Monday morning...
Walking into work I pass Lee, "Does that mean you have a third ear?"
Very FUNNY! Look at the picture and think about it.
Aaron had to explain it to me... but it's hi-larious!
Almost made up for the day that followed.
Tuesday...
Big music day for me. I had a lot of data entry to do and listened to Pandora radio. It reminded me of the old days of making mix-tapes/cds. You type in a song or group and it selects like songs. I find a lot of new artists this way and have started taking pictures of them so that I can remember that I liked them when I decide to purchase songs. I was SO excited when this song, Dog Days Are Over, came onto the station. I l-o-v-e this song but didn't know what artist performed it.
Now I know!
Kinda interesting how I found this song to begin with... a pole dance routine.
This is an amazing feat of strength and beauty.
Total rock star, right?
I originally couldn't access this video on YouTube because of parental-lock-controls. I was a little frustrated because I couldn't figure out how to turn parental-lock off. Siobain said "It's easy" and then showed me how... doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of the parental-lock?...
Wednesday...
Very productive day... and much better than Monday and Tuesday. A project approved and a birthday celebration at Hard 8. I think of Hard 8 as a guys place to eat. You basically walk by this hugh-mung-ga-loid grill/smoker and point to the meat you want.
It is yummy.
These are the smokers you pass to get to the "serving" smoker/grill. Everyone smells like smoked meat afterward. You cant see very well in this photo but there are four huge smokers at work here, you can see the smoke coming out of the seams.
I'm not sure what they cook in these fire pits... but we discussed that a person would die instantly if they were thrown in here. I was thinking of Hansel & Gretel. But even with these morbid thoughts I was able to enjoy my beef skewer and the best beans in Texas.
For shizzle if you are in the DFW area you gotta stop by here.
When I got home Caitlin had turned into Katniss. She made a bow and arrow... the bow was made from a puppet stick and string, the arrow is her Harry Potter wand. Very creative!
She is ADORABLE!

Seizures
A few weeks ago I was frustrated with the pharmacy because they said they didn't have a prescription from my GYN...
... This week I was filling out my expense report and found the slip mixed in with my receipts. Yea! I won't need to call and ask for a new script.
When I dropped by the pharmacy on the way home tonight I happily handed over the slip to the new, handsome, young assistant.
He looked at it and said, "okay, this is for seizures."
"No, it shouldn't be... "
Unless my eggs are having seizures... Which would explain so much!
But he came back with a blush, reading from a printout. "Pain due to blood loss durring menst..." His voice fades.
I like to call them B!tch Pills, but I spared him that information.
I'm just happy to have them.
Caitlin has said that she never wants to grow up, Neverland is a plausible destination to her.
And I'm happy to have my baby...

Peace (A to Z)
I measured me a$$ today. With an orange, plastic, 12-inch ruler. I share because it gave me a giggle.
That does relate to my topic... eventually.
I am fortunate to have insurance that covers visits to a counselor, which I need... and everyone should be lucky enough to have. Vera has helped me improve my life in so many ways, as I've mentioned on my blog before, but there is still lots of work for us to do.
As a quick side note, I know several people who have visited with Vera and then "their time was up"... She'd helped them with what they needed and told them they were welcome to come back if they ever needed her again. She didn't try to milk the system, she truly wants the best for her clients... Including not taxing their wallets unnecessarily.
Of late I have been anxious beyond even my "normal." It is causing me to gain even more weight, constant headaches and neck pain, and an inability to rest (even with a powerful sleep prescription.) At my last appointment Vera worked with me to calm me down... We couldn't get anything else done in my state of anxiety. She taught me a calming technique and I finally found some peace and was even able to sleep last night!
I did this again at lunch today. I went to me car, opened the windows to the breeze, set my alarm and got to work!
In thirty minutes my alarm woke me up and my head pain was gone. I was refreshed for the afternoon of work... Well, kind of refreshed...
... I was a ball of sweat, I'll have to find an alternative to my car in this Texas heat :)
All of this has inspired me to get back into yoga. Once upon a time I would do 45-90 minutes of yoga a day. I remember when my little girl would say "It's time for yogi mommy!" I'd be in the middle of downward-facing-dog and she would scoot under me and do it too. I finally had to get a mat just for her! I loved all six of my Yoga Zone DVDs. Unfortunately, if I tried to do any of those in my current physical state I would end up breaking both knees and my back... But I found a yoga DVD for "plus size" peeps, it arrives Friday and I can't wait! AND a larger yoga mat (here's where the ruler played into my day) so that I can yoga more comfortably.
Ironically... while I was finding peace today I was wreaking havoc at home! I forgot to remind hubby that I had a shoot tonight. By the time I turned my phone back on I had 17 missed calls, tons of text messages, and a sister on the way to my office. I did not bring peace to my family tonight!
I called hubby right away (he was not a happy camper!) He called my sister Sarah and called off the search, she was already half-way to my office.
I was able to call Gorgeous a few minutes later to let her know it was a false alarm and I am really sorry. Next was my sister Siobain... who said she almost went into labor with worry (I'm really praying she doesn't go into labor tonight!) And then I called Sarah... who was totally cool about the whole thing and even made me laugh. She said "It would be just like one of us to run out of gas with a dead cell phone... and you probably would have sprained your ankle earlier in the day."
I'll have to be more diligent about calling hubby before an evening shoot so he doesn't worry. I want him to have peace too.

Even Froggy is excited! (He's doing the lotus)

Dog, Dork, Disgusting, Derrick (A to Z)
This is my handsome boy. Everyone should have such a loving companion.
I'm feeling a little sappy today... Writing this at lunch on a day full of anxiety and paranoia, just thinking about cuddling my Spartacus makes me want to run home where he'll be so happy to see me.
I love hubby and my girlies more than I can express. But Spartacus is my one and only handsome boy.
He is also brills and has a blog of his own, I Am Spartacus. I don't write this blog but I wish I was that fun and clever. His ghost writer makes me happy, sharing Spartacus' personality with posts. Check it out, I hope you like it as much as I do.
Sooo... That was the dog and here is the dork.
reenactment of actual event
Yes, this was me this morning. My plan had been to send a photo to the dentist since I couldn't leave work... Apparently my mouth is not as big as people think... Yes, it's big enough to fit an iPhone with an Otter Box case on it but not big enough to give enough room to focus.
Which leads us to the grooosssss...
See? All out of focus. This is tooth #18 and the hole that previously held tooth #19 (numbered according to the Web Dental Office). If it were in focus you would see that SOME of that mess in #19 is stitching... it's the other stuff I wanted clarified.
This whole attempt made me giggle and I seriously doubt anyone will every ask to borrow my phone after this post.
And now onto the derrick...
Honey is doing a great job creating her derrick... now that she has a glue gun. Hubby tried to get her to do it with super glue, the man knows nothing about crafts. It's a good thing he's funny :)

The Boom-Boom MiniVan
Sometimes, this 38-year-old mother of two feels the need... to boom-boom. That's right. Crank up the radio and vibrate the windows. At these times I really wish my minivan was decked out with extra bass and a neon under-carriage.
Ha-shizzle!
Today I boom-boom-ed at work too. Nothing makes project updates more fun than Moves Like Jagger. I even got a little Iko Iko in today.
Froggy joined me in my boom-boom work.
Ha-shizzle!
I've missed my "awkward" lately. The awkward moments in my life provide me with entertainment and always give me a giggle. So I was soooo relieved when I accidentally hopped a curb while dropping the girlies off to school today. That's right. In front of everyone. Awkward.
Here's another awkward, just for me! I am the stereotypical-cartoon-crazy-pms-woman! And here is the picture to prove it!
Yup! A heating pad, wine, chocolate, and Pamprin.
The bear is symbolic ;)

Threading
My girl friends have been talking about "threading" a lot lately. "It's so much better than waxing or plucking!"
Robyn was heading over to get her brows done this afternoon and I decided to join her. Here's what I knew before I had it done... they use a thread... that and the comment above were about the extent of my knowledge.
We walk in to the... threading place... I don't know the name of it. It is Indian owned and run and the women were very nice. There was a television playing bollywood music videos (which I secretly l-o-v-e.)
I was asked to sit in a hair-salon type chair and to scoot down. Further down. More, touch your head on the back of the chair. Okay, to accomplish laying my head on the back of the chair I had to scoot my (large) a$$ off the chair. I was hanging on by my tailbone.
She started with my brows. Um. Ouch. Sneeze.
I had to stop her to sneeze. It was a reflex. I was really worried that for each... thread... I'd have to sneeze. But I didn't. Instead I laughed.
It was a laugh of pain. A "I can't believe that I am paying someone to hurt me this much" laugh. A "why am I torturing myself" giggle.
The nice woman asked "Are you ticklish?"
Ummm... I did not say "What the ha-shizzle? How could this tickle ANYONE!"... instead I just laughed again and tried not to wince.
As I was staring at the ceiling I was thinking that they should put motivation posters up there. You know, 'You can do it!' or 'Breath through the pain!' But I guess that wouldn't be good for business.
Meanwhile I have started crying. Silent tears streaming into my hair as gravity pulls them from the outside corner of my eyes. Not sobbing, just some tiny tears.
"We do your lip?"
I've never done my lip before... but apparently it needed to be done. "I'll need to wax first, you have a lot of hair."
Okay?
More giggling. Another tear. She hands me the mirror.
I can't see anything with my blurry vision, so I nod and say thank you.
I'm a little dizzy when I get up.
I have really sensitive skin and these red marks lasted for about an hour and a half... while I was at work. The welts have become smaller... but I am still worried about what my skin might do tomorrow.
Apparently this is an ancient hair removal process from Egypt or India... a natural way of removing hair using only thin cotton thread.
A found a video online to share... in case anyone wants to try threading.
I will try this again. Everyone says the first time hurts because you have more hair... we'll see.

That's Pimp
Siobain woke me up this morning... "do they cancel school when it rains this hard?"
Sigh, no.
Even having to give Spartacus his anti-rainstorm-and-thunder-medicine I was still able to drop the girlies off on-time to school. Impressive!
But I didn't make it to work on time...
The traffic was at such a standstill that I was actually able to check my email with no safety guilt. (Usually I only answer and place calls.)
My morning started off pretty rough. A man was in my office humming with rage. I mean, I think he was actually emitting a hum from the vibrations of his muscles as he tried to stay under control. To his credit, he never once raised his voice... I was a little worried about his face though. He's a handsome man and rubbing on it like that can cause wrinkles. Anyway, I was up to the task of fixing the situation (the deets don't matter, well, except that it wasn't about me or my fault... for some reason those deets always matter to me.)
But by 11:15 I had not been able to fix things. So I needed to eat some texmex STAT (thank you girls!) As we were leaving the texmex restaurant three things happened.
First, there were three women walking out behind us who heard me ask my friend frantically "Did you see naked women? I need to know if you saw naked women! WERE THERE NAKED WOMEN?"
Okay, I didn't know they were behind us and these questions were heard completely out of context. Alright, they probably weren't out of context but I did NOT know anyone could hear us. I made their day.
Second, this car...
... is sitting on the ground. At first I thought there were four flat tires... but no, it's a hydraulic-y car. Pimp! We were NOT going to leave until I had a picture of this car. Unfortunately I couldn't get a good angle so we had to leave the texmex parking lot and go into the "gentleman's club" parking lot... which was a fun field trip. As we are driving back into the texmex parking lot, hanging out the window with my camera, we pass the same three women... who roll down their window, laugh, and say "Are you back to take a picture of that car?" Ha-shizzle YES! (You know I made their day!)
Third, I made the girls wait until I got the right shot. I didn't care that we were blocking a car. I have priorities... and Pimp is one of them. Fortunately the other car ALSO found our shenanigans amusing.
BONUS, I received an email on the way back to work that the "situation" was about to be fixed!
***
Because I think this is funny... I'm going to share it. I have a half-wall on one side of my cubicle. It's convenient and helps control my claustrophobia. There were three men talking to me over the half wall about projects for a bit. When they left I looked down at my keyboard... only to see...
... my shirt rolled up and one of my belly rolls chillaxing for the whole world to see. I've taken this photo from their point-of-view so that you can really, really appreciate this post-awkward moment.
A few rules to live by.... Always tell people when:
- they are wearing a price tag
- they have toilet paper stuck to any part of their body
- their clothing tag is sticking out
- they have a booger
- food is on their face, chest, or lap
- hair is sticking up (unless it's clearly on purpose)
- any smudge, dirt, or marker on their face
- food or any object stuck in or on their teeth
- their zipper is unzipped, wherever that zipper my be
- if they have anything alien on their behind, not matter what it is
- and IF THEIR FAT ROLLS ARE EXPOSED.
So, I emailed some girl friends this photo with the note that ONE of these three guys could have said something along the line of "pull your shirt down."
Later that day... Little Miss Stacy was with me and in the short amount of time we were together she kindly told me THREE times that my shirt rolled up.
Burning the shirt! Keeping Stacy!

Geographic Tongue
Back to the doctor this afternoon... for the last time, yea!! I've been given a "much better" bill of health. Get it? Not a "clean" bill of health 'cause I'm still sick... anywho. I can return to work on Monday.
I sound better and look better. Ya know, on the inside. 'Cause I am a great big give-up on the outside. You see the bottom of this photo? What should be the top of a shirt? Or dress? Nope, those are my pajamas. Yup, I went there. Well, I put pants on. And a jacket-y thing. But still. Pajamas.
I'm really looking forward to feeling better.
You can tell I feel better because I took photos :)
(instead of lying down and whimpering)
So even though I don't have to go back for another check up, unless something doesn't feel right, I still have to do another month of breathing treatments. Well, 25 more days anyway.
I found out a fun fact during this illness episode.... I have a geographic tongue!
I have always been self-conscious of my tongue... cause it's ugly. Not only is it weird looking (geographic) but I also have scars from a nice big bite when I was little. But know that I am one of the 2% of people on the planet with a geographic tongue I feel... still self-conscious. But I have buddies out there somewhere.
The geographic tongue would explain why I have immediate reactions to some foods (jalapeno incident with Beth) and why my tongue looks different from day to day.
So I came home and told hubby that I am not a complete freak of nature... 2% of the population are freaks with me! And do you know what he said? "I think I have that too!"
Dork.

Words With Friends
I'm currently playing my first two games of Words With Friends. My sister Sarah is making a monkey out of me. I'm keeping pace with Gabe.
Sarah sent a text "are you even trying?"
"Yes, I'm playing with my friend Gabe and just played 'barf', I no longer think I am even of average intelligence :("
This solicited a call from Sarah. She went through a list of tips and I was doing all of them. But apparently my strategy was all wrong. With the three letters I had just played she could have tripled my points elsewhere on the board. It's all about board placement. You should never lay anything on the board that scores less than teen points.
Since taking this as my number one priority I have indeed tripled my score per play.
Also, apparently regular Scrabble rules don't apply. There is no "fake word flag" by the opponent because the game prohibits you from playing a word that doesn't exist. So the other player doesn't know if you try a word spelling to see if it will work. There are a lot of weird spellings out there (which has always been my excuse for being a bad speller!)
Now I know why people have been "blah blah this game is so fun blah blah blah" forever. The smart phone is changing my life a little.

I was home sick today. "Lucky lady time" plus coughing has been added to my ailments. I doubt they can add anything to my current med arsenal. I'm now having to take two handfuls of pills instead of my regular one handful.
Over medicated anyone? Just for the next 6 days.
The girlies and hubby saw The Lorax today. They said they liked it, but there was no gushing "mommy you HAVE to see it".... so it must not have been that good.
Hubby and I watched Martha Marcy May Marlene tonight. I've been wanting to see it for a while. I've always been fascinated with brainwashing and cult behavior. The selection process and the power some people can hold over others.
I thought it was a well done movie. Subtle acting and interesting editing. I recommend.

Ummm.... Awkward
I spent the evening with a charming group of young men and a lovely young woman. The Venturing crew invited me to speak about the production process.
What am I going to talk about? Write, shoot, edit. That's it in a nutshell. How am I going to extend this visit beyond three words?
The only other time I've done something like this was career day when Siobain was in third grade. I used props and assigned rolls... not appropriate for this age group.
I would just have to do the best I could. If it is only 10 minutes long, well, that's the way it goes.
... I went 45 minutes over my allotted time. What the ha-shizzle! It must have been that anxiety pill I took. And the fact that I talk a lot. And I'm pretty sure that if I could edit out all the "ums" I would have finished with time to spare. That's right, 45 minutes worth of ums.
All the while this wonderful group was attentive and polite.
Several golden moments of awkwardness too... I wish I could remember them. Between nerves and the medication I'm kind of hazy on the whole thing.
I completely blame my buddy Ryan for not telling me to "rap it up"... sigh.

Here are my cuties Ryan and Tinker...
I was so embarrassed for talking so long I couldn't hold my camera steady.
I can't wait for my girlies to be old enough to join this great group!

Cuddles and giggles and secrets all day.
What did I do so RIGHT to deserve these angels*?

Ugly in 2011
I hosted my first Ugly Ornament Party tonight. I say "hosted", which means I sent out the invite. We all met at Mi Cocina and it was dutch treat... but I did provide the prizes too.
Amy won Grand Ugly Prize... with a GIANT jewel ornament.
Karen won Funniest Prize... with an unfortunately broken boy scout ornament, only one of his three-finger-salute was in tact... so it was a totally different message.
Kelli won Cheapest... a $1.oo pickle ornament (which I keep in the exchange.)
Siobain won Loser... her mouse/rabbit(?) wasn't ugly enough.
I still don't know how I didn't win... Or Sarah, because we both brought the SAME ugly ornament! Hehe!
Amy, Me, Siobain, Kelli (high), Sarah (low), Karen, Stacy
I had so much fun that I didn't take pictures! Shame on me! So this is the only one we have... and the guy who took it was hi-larious.
This is a really great group of women and I am so lucky to call them friends, and especially lucky to call two of them sisters. I had a wonderful evening of eating, laughing, and drinking.
Okay, maybe too much drinking. Had to call hubby to pick me up. Total drag for him. This "don't drink and drive" and "call a friend" doesn't work at my age. By the time you are 37 it's just "don't drink too much, ass head"...
I'm the "ass head"... but better safe than sorry. Although I do wish I had let one of the ladies drive me home instead of getting hubby involved. (don't get me wrong, I wasn't stinking drunk, just over the limit.)
Lots of love to everyone who came and made my evening wonderful!
Kisses!

Sunshine and Roses
Hubby and the girlies went for a bike ride tonight. I really wanted to join them but for two things... 1) the "bike" incident of summer 2010 still gives me nightmares (I think there is still video of that floating around); and 2) ummmm.... I've got issues down south. Not sure what they are but I'm pretty sure a bike seat won't help. (This is new for me because usually I'm sunshine and roses down there...)
Once issue "2" is resolved I'll look for a bicycle for a woman "of size"... I'm sure they make them.

For sure when I get my bike I'm going to have sparkly streamers like Caitlin's.
Siobain's bike had a low tire so they had to get it filled before their ride.
General Rule...
If there is a picture of Siobain looking and smiling at the camera...
then I probably just said "SMILE DAMN IT!"
When I see an adult on a bicycle, I do not despair for the future of the human race.

Wackadoo
Last night of vacation. I don't count tomorrow night because it is the eve of a work day. And when I say "last night of vacation" I mean for 2011. No more vacation days this year.
But oh my! It has been nice to have a whole week off!
Wanna know how I celebrated my last night of VC?... A necked coaster ride!
And then I put all my contact information. Here is the deal. I would rather be an informed wackadoo than just your average necked-roller coaster-riding wackadoo. I want them to know that she has parents who are involved, who want to be part of a team, who respect them as teachers and people.
Also, I did NOT attach the necked-roller coaster-wackadoo photo. I thought that was showing great restraint on my part.
Whew. If that isn't enough wackadoo for you... I also LOST MY PHONE IN TARGET. I'm phoneless. I feel necked.
I CRACK MYSELF UP!
I hope you all have a good "last night of wackadoo's vacation" night too.

tehehehehehe he he
Just kidding. No, I haven't been drinking. No, I'm not really necked.
Wanna know how you can tell this superior photo is a fake?
1. You can see my monitor reflection in my glasses.
2. Part of my neck and shoulder are missing. ("green screen" issues)
3. My hair is not flapping in the wind.
and...
4. My... (whisper) boobies... aren't flapping over my shoulder.
I crack myself up! Do you see how I put all my acting skills to work with my scared face?

Also giving me the title of wackadoo is the email I sent to all of Honey's teachers... She is going into 7th grade and if you've read previous posts you know I suck at stalking, snooping, and generally being nosey. So I decided to take the bull by the send button. (Get it? instead of HORNS I used my email... maybe I should say "by the mouse"... except I don't have a mouse. So we are sticking with send button.)
Anywho. Yes! I did email all of her teachers...
Hello all,
My daughter, Siobain (pronounced shavon), is in your classes this year. I know Siobain will learn all your class rules the first day of school and that she will get to know each of you. You will be spending a collective 7 hrs a day with my daughter and I would also like to know a little about each of you.
I look forward to Siobain learning and growing this year. You all know more about this age group and the changes they go through than I; Siobain is our oldest and we are learning as we go.
If you have the time and the inclination I would appreciate hearing back from you.
How long and what subjects have you taught?
What is something you wish the parents of your students knew?
What is the most helpful thing I can do for your class this year?
Anything else you would like to share or would like me to know?

My husband and I will be attending the new parent Q&A on the 25th and we look forward to meeting each of you on the 8th.
I realize that Siobain will be 1 of more than 90 students for each of you. She is 1 of 2 daughters for me. I will support Siobain and each of you in any way I can this year. Please let me know when there is anything I can do or anytime you need something.
Yes, I'm a little bit crazy but usually in a good way.
Thank you and have a great school year!
Kathleen
